Jews. Gotta love 'em :)

Seriously, Judaism sounds pretty awesome. How do I become a Jew?
Okay, here's the back story: I'm studying for theology so reading the most boring book ever and I stumble across the chapter talking about the similarities and differences between Christianity and Judaism.. so honestly, I'm not too interested, but this one aspect of the religion really got me (I will give you the exact excerpt from the stupid book.)
"It [Judaism] provocatively maintains that even a few minutes in the here and now are better than the entire afterlife. In those few minutes, one can perform good deeds. The world-to-come [afterlife] is in God's hands, not ours, so there is no need to think much or speculate about it. Emphasis is always on life here and now. Hence, the traditional Jewish toast when raising a glass of wine is l'chaim, to life."
Doesn't that just sound awesome? Be good now, just to feel good now. Don't worry about what will happen after this life on Earth, all will be well in the hands of God, simply enjoy the moments you have here and live them to your fullest :)
Amazing words of wisdom! Go Judaism.
